Ballades

A recital with a collection of ballades. Paired for likeness. This is also a lecture recital. Brahms, Liszt, Clara Schumann, and Chopin wrote ballades in the same time period, and then other composers such as Amy Beach, Debussy, Benoit, and Barber wrote their own. This is a particularly narrative style of piano music. The ballades are paired for similarity.
